The Viswas General Knowledge Quiz, sponsored by RmKV Silks in memory of their founder is now in its fourth year. This year’s quiz was conducted by the Rotary club of Tirunelveli West on February 15 at Sri Jayendra School. A day- long quiz session of the 4th edition of 2014 was conducted on February 15, 2014.
33 teams from schools in Tirunelveli took part in the written preliminary round of the full day quiz each team representing the cream of each school’s master minds. Two teams from our school took part and both qualified for the finals.
The team of R.Balaji and N.Madhav (class 9) emerged as winner with a score of 145 points 60 of which came from an amazing performance in the buzzer round and first place was secure when they answered all ten questions correctly in the Rapid Fire round. Thus Jayendra regained the title after a year’s gap – another feather in our cap!
Our second team, Maheshrajan and Ramswarna Priyan also performed very well and finished up in fourth place.
The winners received a cash price of Rs.10, 000 and accolades from the Organisers, Principal, Staff and Friends.
