We are proud to release the audio CD of Tamil memory poems for classes 5 to 10 from the Tamilnadu State Board Syllabus in the presence of our honorable Education Minister for school education Mr.K.A.Sengottaiyan in our school campus today. Honorable Ministers Mr. Kadambur Raju, Mrs.Rajalakshmi and Tirunelveli District Collector Mrs. Shilpa Sathish and other dignitaries were also present on the dais on this memorable occasion.
The idea of setting tunes for memory poems was conceived by our beloved principal Mrs. Usha Raman who felt, it will accelerate the interest among the students to learn the poems and they will find it easy to memorize them for the examination also. Our Music Master Mr.Jesurajan took this seriously, worked for this with our Music Teacher Mrs. Pratiba and executed the task successfully with our students. We are very happy to share this with you all!.

SUCCESSFUL ONLINE CLASSES TO OUR PLUS TWO STUDENTS DURING LOCKDOWN
On May 11, When India celebrates its National Technology Day, we are happy to share that we are one among the few schools to use latest technology to teach our students. Using technology we see to it that our students are not affected by the Corona Lockdown. We are successful in conducting online classes for our Plus Two students regularly and we are also offering NEET & JEE coaching through video conferencing. We plan to launch online classes for the incoming X Standard students also very soon.
Our Students at National Level Folk Music Competition in Lucknow
The performance of our school students in the National Youth Festival 2020 held in Lucknow. We represented our state at the National level Folk Music Competition after winning the first place in the District and State Level.
ATAL Tinkering Lab launched at Sri Jayendra Golden Jubilee School
With a vision to cultivate one million child innovators in India, Atal Innovation Mission by NITI Aayog and Government of India envisaged a novel programme – establishment of Atal Tinkering Laboratories in schools across the country.
We are one among the few, to proudly avail the grant from the Government of India to create a novel environment to foster scientific temper, innovation and creativity amongst students with the setting up of the Atal Tinkering Laboratory, the inauguration of which was held on February 15,2020.The lab activities are designed to spur the spark of creativity and go beyond regular curriculum and textbook learningto be in synch with the global scenario.
The District Collector Mrs. Shilpa Prabkar Sathish was the chief guest of the occasion with Mr. Chandrasekar, an eminent scientist from ISRO and Mr. S. M. Kumar, Chief officer, District Science Centre as the guests of honour.
The students gave a very warm welcome to the special guests by dressing up themselves as famous International and Indian scientists.
The Innovation Hub Atal Tinkering lab was inaugurated by the Honorary District Collector, Video conferencing Hall by Mr. Chandrasekar and the Digital language lab by the District Science Officer.
During the inauguration, the young innovators from the school exhibited various innovative projects and explained their functioning enthusiastically. The chief guests and other dignitaries went around the lab, saw the models made by the students and interacted with them.
After this the formal function was held on the stage. Our Principal Mrs. Usha Raman gave the welcome speech. The District collector in her Presidential address said that skilled India is the need of the hour and each step taken this dream should be welcomed and we should work towards it together for a better India.She also motivated the children to take up the challenge of innovation and skills through the use of the lab which would go a long way in shaping their minds and careers. She wished the students many happy hours of tinkering.
We used her presence to honour the achievers of our school at state and national level competitions. Our correspondent Mrs.Nirmal Ramaratinam gave vote of thanks and congratulated the staff and students for the grand success of the function!
Our school students won the I Place & the IV place in the Prestigious Hindu Young World Quiz 2020!!
The 20th Edition of the popular The Hindu Young World Quiz 2020, one of the longest running and largest live school quizzes was conducted on February 4, 2020 in Madurai. 200 teams from 7 southern districts of Tamil Nadu took part in this competition. The Quiz wizards of our school with their exemplary performance made a mark by winning First place!!
KINDERGARTEN GATE 2019-2020
Our K.G. Department conducted the GATE Competitions for the year 2019-2020. We conducted Fancy Dress, Rhymes Recitation, Story Telling and Clay Modeling competition for the children. The participation of the children and the parents were competition appreciable.

Free Orthopedic Assessment Camp
Every year since 2012 Sri Jayendra Golden Jubilee School has been collaborating with Dr. Sunder, Freedom Trust Chennai and organising a free orthopedic medical camp. We distribute orthotic and prosthetic equipment to physically challenged who need artificial limbs, calipers, wheel chairs, tricycles, crutches and so on. So far since 2012 we have conducted 10 camps in the school. More than 800 beneficiaries have been provided with their needs in the 8 years. The Interact Club members and alumni of our school who are pursuing MBBS play an active role in the camp. Here are some pictures of the assessment conducted yesterday.
