The most popular sport at the school is basketball: the Priory Basketball Court is in constant use. Our teams are often district toppers and are involved in State Level competitions. Each year several schools come to Sri Jayendra to take part in the Priory Basketball competition.
The School cricket teams perform very well in District Level competitions. Practice games and nets are conducted at the school but matches are usually played at the India Cements ground which is 2 km away.
Volleyball, Handball, Throwball, Badminton and Tag Rugby are also enjoyed by both boys and girls.
Tag rugby, which was started in 2010 with help from Rhino Rugby (www.rhinorugby.com) and the Tag Rugby Trust (www.tagrugbytrust.co.uk), is proving very popular. It is new to the area but has impressed many and was included in the District Mini Olympics in 2012.
