We are very proud that our pupil Surya of VIII Standard has been selected to represent Tamil Nadu at Basketball. He will captain the Under 14 team in the 2013-14  National Basketball Tournament at the 59th National School Games organised by the School Games Federation of India.

This will be held in Gotan, Rajasthan in November.

He won his way through a very tough selection procedure which was held at district and zonal levels with his remarkably skillful and effective play: a testament to the dedication he has shown in many hours of practice on the Priory Basketball Court and the excellent coaching he has received from Senthil of our PE Department.

Now, equipped with some warm clothes and shiny new ‘branded’ basketball shoes, he is looking forward to his two and a half day train journey to the frozen North.

We all share his excited anticipation and wish him the very best of luck.
