The 3-day workshop on Drone Technology was inaugurated at Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal Golden Jubilee School on March 20, 2025. This workshop marks a significant milestone, as the school proudly becomes the first school to host such an event. Organized by ‘EdToDo Technovasions LLP’, Chennai and Tirunelveli, this workshop offers students a unique opportunity to explore the world of drones and their technological advancements.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Mr. S. Murugan, General Manager, DIC, Tirunelveli, Mr. Siva Bharathi, District Program Manager, EDII, Tirunelveli, and Dr. Suvaitheran, EDII-TN District Program Manager, Tuticorin. The presence of these distinguished guests added significance and excitement to the event.

Our Principal, Mrs. Usha Raman, extended a warm welcome to the chief guests and addressed the students. In her speech, she emphasized the importance of acquiring practical skills alongside theoretical knowledge, encouraging students to take full advantage of this opportunity to enhance their understanding of emerging technologies like drones.

Special mention must be made of our school’s ATAL Lab Coordinator, Mr. Balamurugan, and Mrs. Ramalakshmi, whose diligent efforts ensured the seamless organization and smooth execution of the event. Their hard work behind the scenes made this workshop possible, and they continue to play a vital role in fostering innovation and learning at our school.

As this workshop unfolds over the next three days, students will have hands-on exposure to the fascinating world of drone technology, setting the stage for a brighter and more technologically adept future. A total of 90 students will benefit from attending the drone technology workshop at our school.
