Empathy in Action: Extending a Helping Hand to Flood-Affected Communities

In response to the unprecedented rainfall that lashed Tirunelveli and Tuticorin districts on 17/12/23 and 18/12/23, leaving devastation in its wake, our school took swift and compassionate action to alleviate the suffering of those affected under the initiative of our Principal Mrs.Usha Raman.

Our school’s management, dedicated staff, and compassionate students rallied together, embodying the spirit of community service. Starting from 19/12/23, our collective efforts focused on providing essential relief materials such as blankets, clothing, rice bags, biscuits, mats, groceries, candles and vegetables to those in need.

Notably, our school distributed 200 packets of relief materials to the flood-affected areas in Vannarpet, Tirunelveli, where our students and staff displayed commendable teamwork in executing this mission. Simultaneously, another team from our school interact club with our staff Mr. Vanchinathan ventured into areas near Eral, ensuring that essential items reached the doorsteps of the affected families.

A special mention goes to our staff member, Rani Madam, and our former student, Sathya, along with their colony members, who took up the responsibility of distributing relief materials in and around CN Village in the Tirunelveli Junction area which is one of the badly affected area by flood.

We are proud of our students and staff for their exemplary efforts in this time of crisis. This initiative reflects our school’s core values of empathy, community service, and the unwavering belief that together, we can make a difference.
