Every year Sivanthi Adithanar Engineering College in Tiruchendur conducts a State Level Quiz competition on General Knowledge for students from classes 9 to 12. This year Jayendra was represented by S. Srinidhi of Class 12 and R. Balaji of Class 9.

More than 60 schools took part in the quiz drawn from the whole of Tamil Nadu: there were teams from such places as Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Trichi and Salem so the competition was hot.

Our students performed confidently and battled their way through the preliminary rounds, the quarter and semi finals to win their place on stage for the Final against Madurai TVS Matriculation School. It was a tough fight and the teams were neck and neck up but in the final two questions two correct answers sealed our victory and we retained the prestigious trophy for the sixth consecutive year – a double hat trick.

The shield was presented to our students on 26th February and they also received a prize of Rs 5000 to share.

Our Principal appreciated the students and their coach in the assembly.
