On 15th November 2014 RMKV and the Rotary Club of Tirunelveli conducted the annual Kiddival competition for the twenty fifth consecutive year.

Kiddival is an interschool competition conducted for pupils from classes L.K.G to 5 to showcase their talent in competitions as diverse as Fancy dress, Tirukkural recitation, essay and poetry writing, music and dance.  Over 1700 students from 83 schools of the three southern districts of Tamil Nadu (Tirunelveli, Tuticorin and Kanyakumari) took part in this prestigious and exciting event.

For weeks before the competition the School was buzzing with activity as the children made their preparations: artwork was created, the stage was always full of dancers and small girls practiced their Tamil Oratory with surprisingly powerful voices and theatrical gestures. There is no doubt that this wonderful event enthuses the children  and encourages competitiveness and involvement.

Our pupils produced some vibrant performances on the day and we won the overall second place emerging as Runners of Kiddival 2014.

We won prizes in the following events:

1st Prizes in: Crayon Colouring, Non Classical Instrumental, Fab Kid Girl, Group Dance, Non Classical Vocal and Classical vocal

2nd Prizes in :  Pencil Sketch, Quiz, Recitation and Clay Modelling

3rd Prizes in:  Classical Instrumental

Consolation Prize: Thirukkural Recitation
