Exceptional Success at SNUC QuBiz: Our Students Triumph in Regional Competitions

In a remarkable display of talent and intelligence, students from our school have achieved outstanding success in the recent SNUC QuBiz competition. This prestigious event, organized by the Shiv Nadar University of Chennai, was conducted in Tirunelveli on October 31 and in Tuticorin on November 1.

Srivatsan of class 11 teamed up with the Madhuvarshini from class 12, secured the third position in the fiercely contested competition held in Tirunelveli.

Not to be outdone, Nithish Anand and Balakrishnan, two promising students from class 9, secured a remarkable second place in the competition held in Tuticorin. Their performance was nothing short of exceptional, and they have proven that age is no barrier to success.

Both of our winning teams are now gearing up for the next level of the competition in Chennai, where they will represent our school and showcase their abilities on a broader platform. We extend our hearty congratulations to these talented students for their outstanding achievements. Their success is a source of pride for our school, and we wish them the best of luck in the upcoming competition in Chennai

Our Students Shine at District Science Congress: Heading to State Level

31st National Children’s Child Congress 2023, A program of National Council for Science & Technology Communication ( NCSTC) is conducted all over India with the Focal theme of “Understanding Eco System for Health and Well being”.

Two teams from our school, one representing the junior category and the other the senior category, made a remarkable impact at the District Science Congress.

In the junior category, Sri Loshini and Shree Sharadha of class 8 presented a compelling thesis on the ‘PROS AND CONS OF MODERN TECHNOLOGY IN STUDENT COMMUNITY.’ Meanwhile, in the senior category, Bettina Prabhakar and Vishal of class 11 showcased their innovative ‘GARBAGE DISPOSAL AND TRACKING SYSTEM IN TIRUNELVELI.’

With their well-prepared written submissions, engaging PowerPoint presentations, and impressive responses during the viva session, both teams secured their spots to compete at the State level Science Congress. This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students and their supportive guide teachers.

Congratulations to our children, their guide teachers Mr.Venkata Narasimhan, Mr. Selva, our ATL lab faculties and the entire Physics department staff.

Cracking the Code: Our School’s Triumph at the Quiz Competition

Our school students, Srivatsan from class 11 and Madhuvarshini from class 12, made us proud at the State level Quiz competition hosted by the National College of Engineering, Kovilpatti, and conducted by the renowned quiz master, Dr. Sumanth C Raman.

Out of 162 teams in the prelims, our students shone, securing a spot in the finals with a fantastic score and no ties.

In the finals, they showcased their brilliance across seven rounds, including a challenging visual connect round. Our school team was the only one to crack the link to the birthplaces of Tamilnadu Chief Ministers in the Short Visual connect round.

Even though a slight setback in the last round cost them some points, their unwavering spirit led them to secure the fourth place by cracking the answer with the seventh clue which was not done by any other team on stage.

By winning the consolation prize, they made us proud.

Rising Stars: Students Secure Second Place in ‘Veetukku Oru Vignani 2023

In a display of innovation and scientific prowess, students from our school participated in the ‘Veetukku Oru Vignani 2023’ science project competition hosted by Pudhiya Thalaimurai TV channel. In the junior category for classes 6 to 8 students, Sri Loshini and Petchi Kowshika of class 8 shone brightly, securing the second place with their exceptional project – the ‘Mine Detector and Surveillance Robot.’ Congratulations to Sri Loshini, Petchi Kowshika and the supporting staff for their outstanding achievement!

Eye-Catching Success: Our Students’ Triumph in Quiz Competition

We happily share our students’ remarkable achievements in the quiz competition held by Arvind Eye Hospitals and the District Science Centre of Tirunelveli in celebration of World Sight Day 2023 today.

In the Juniors category (classes 6 to 8), our talented students clinched the FIRST PRIZE , showcasing their exceptional knowledge about eye anatomy, eye health and vision concerns.

Not stopping there, in the Seniors category (classes 9 to 12), our students secured the CONSOLATION PRIZE , proving their dedication and commitment to the cause.

Jayendra Golden Jubilee School Alumni Reunion in Dallas, Texas: A Cherishable Reunion and a Vision for the Future”

Alumni of Jayendra Golden Jubilee School, who were passed out in 90’s from the school and scattered across the United States, came together for a heartwarming reunion in Dallas, Texas. Despite the miles that separate them, they rekindled old friendships and cherished memories over a day-long gathering that bridged the gap through Zoom. With their principal, correspondent, and some beloved former staff members joining in, the alumni discussed ways in which they could contribute to the ongoing development of their alma mater. It was a day filled with nostalgia, laughter, and a shared commitment to ensure a brighter future.

The Installation of our school Interact Club

The installation ceremony of our school Interact club took place on 19/09/23, Tuesday. This club is a part of The Rotary club, Tirunelveli West. Our students actively participate in various activities like visiting old age home, blind school, orphanage and the school of children with special needs. These activities help them to look beyond the self and involve themselves in constructive pursuits as they learn to make a difference with their individual efforts.

Our Principal, Mrs.Usha Raman in her address, welcomed the prominent Rotarians. She also congratulated the members of the newly elected council. The event was graced by the benevolent presence of Rotarians from Rotary club of Tirunelveli,West.

The newly elected members of the Interact Club were presented with the collar and collar pins by the President of Rotary Club. During the ceremony, the outgoing president of our school Interact Club, submitted the annual report and presented a PPT reflecting on the club’s achievements over the previous year. The new Interact Club president pledged to uphold the principles of the Interact Club. After the oath taking ceremony the event concluded by the Vote of Thanks proposed by the Secretary of the Interact Club.

School Carrom Tournament Highlights

We were thrilled to host the ‘New Games’ Carrom Tournament for schools in the Tirunelveli Revenue district yesterday!

Totally 84 teams participated in both the singles and doubles categories, showcasing their incredible talent and sportsmanship.

The event kicked off at 9 am with an inauguration ceremony, graced by the presence of the District Sports Officer, the Headmaster of the Government Higher Secondary School, and our Vice Principal, Mrs. Ganga Mani.
