Our Students Shine at Kiddival 2024 – A Remarkable Achievement!

We happily share our outstanding success at the highly anticipated Kiddival, an interschool competition organized by RMKV Silks, Rotary Club of Tirunelveli West, and Rotary Club of Tirunelveli, Venuvanam. The event, designed for students from Kindergarten to Class 5, was a platform to showcase the immense talent and creativity of our young participants, and we couldn’t be prouder of their achievements!

In a moment of great pride, our school secured the prestigious Overall Runner-Up Championship, a testament to the dedication, hard work, and passion of our students. The triumphs didn’t stop there—our young stars brought home accolades across a range of events, further highlighting their incredible abilities.

Quiz Champs Shine at State-Level Competition!

Our Quiz Wizards, Nitish Anand of Class 10 and Vidyasankar of Class 9, made us proud by securing the Second Prize in the prestigious 21st Sivanthi Quiz Cup, a State-Level Quiz competition organized by the Alumni Association of Dr. Sivanthi Aditanar College of Engineering, Tiruchendur, on 14th November 2024.

Competing against 48 schools from across the state, they emerged as the First Runners-Up, showcasing their brilliance and quick thinking. Despite facing stiff competition from Higher Secondary students on stage, Nitish and Vidyasankar displayed remarkable knowledge and confidence, securing their place among the top.

Their outstanding performance earned them a cash prize of ₹3000/-. Hearty congratulations to our young achievers for this incredible feat!

Triumph in Innovation and Knowledge at ‘IDEA CONTEST 2024’

Our talented students shined at the IDEA CONTEST 2024, a prestigious Mega Project Expo organized by Francis Xavier Engineering College, Tirunelveli, on November 8. Competing against schools from across the region, our school teams brought home remarkable achievements, securing the first and third places in the Innovation category for their creative and impactful projects. Additionally, our students demonstrated impressive knowledge and quick thinking by winning second place in the General Quiz, which challenged them in rounds on science, technology, and general knowledge.

Literary Fiesta: Class 8 students Celebrate the Power of the English Language

On October 25, 2024, the Jayendrans of Class 8 hosted an inspiring Literary Fiesta centered on the theme “Exploring the Power of the English Language.” The event celebrated the diversity and expressive richness of English, engaging the audience with a wide range of literary forms, including stories, poems, conversations, tongue twisters, speeches, and skits. Each presentation was crafted to foster creativity, critical thinking, and a deep appreciation for the nuances of the language.

One of the highlights was a reenactment of the Greek myth “Pandora’s Box,” which symbolized themes of “Hope and Despair,” “Evil and Suffering,” “Deception and Betrayal,” and “Feminine Agency.” This powerful portrayal encouraged students to reflect on universal struggles and the enduring significance of hope.

Adding a touch of classic literature, the students also staged scenes from Shakespeare’s “The Merchant of Venice.” Through this timeless story, they explored the contrasting themes of “Love vs. Materialism,” captivating the audience with their effective enaction and attention to detail.

This celebration of English language and literature stands as a testament to our students’ talents and their passion for exploring the world’s cultures, ideas, and expressions through language.

GATE 2024: A Showcase of Young Talent and Spirit

Last week, our school proudly hosted the Golden All Round Talent Exposition (GATE) for students in classes 1 to 5. This vibrant event provided a platform for young minds to shine, featuring a diverse range of competitions that celebrated both academic excellence and performing arts.

Students enthusiastically participated in activities such as handwriting, essay writing, word power challenges, and spell bee contests. The artistic talents of our students were showcased through painting, vocal and instrumental music, as well as innovative projects like art from waste and clay modeling.

The GATE competition not only highlighted the incredible abilities of our students but also fostered a spirit of creativity among them.

Gliding to Glory: Our Skating Champions Shine Bright!

We are thrilled to announce the outstanding achievements of our class 6 students, Sri Pranav and Sri Harini, at the Tamandu Roller Skating Association’s Skating Championship Tournament, competing with students from Tirunelveli and Tenkasi districts.

Sri Pranav brought home:

*Gold Medal in the 500+D Rink race

*Gold Medal in the 1000-meter Road race (1 lap)

*Bronze Medal in the 100-meter Road race

Sri Harini shone brightly with:

*Gold Medal in the 200-meter Rink race

*Gold Medal in the 500+D Rink race

*Gold Medal in the 1000-meter Road race

Our school Class 10 Students Shine at SSN Quiz Competition

We are thrilled to congratulate Nitish Anand and Balakrishnan of Class 10 for securing the Third Place in the highly competitive SSN Quiz Competition, held on September 3 at Pushpalatha Vidya Mandir. The event featured the finest minds from CBSE schools across Tirunelveli district. Despite facing senior competitors from Higher Secondary classes, our students displayed remarkable knowledge and poise.

Nitish and Balakrishnan’s exceptional performance, narrowly missing the second place by just 5 marks, speaks volumes about their capability and determination. We are immensely proud of their achievement and their ability to represent our school with such brilliance.

A Proud Moment for Our School

On August 31, the Education Department of Tamil Nadu organized a convention titled “Let Us Celebrate Parents” (பெற்றோரை கொண்டாடுவோம்) at the district level for Government and Private schools of Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari, Tuticorin, and Tenkasi districts. The event was graced by several dignitaries, including Honourable Education Minister Mr. Anbil Magesh, Honourable Speaker Mr. Appavu, Honourable District Collector Mr. Karthikeyan IAS, Tirunelveli Mayor Mr. Ramakrishnan, and the Joint Directors of the four educational districts.

Our school had the privilege of setting up a stall at the convention, which quickly became the center of attraction. We showcased an array of arts and crafts created by our talented students, captivating the attention of attendees. The impressive display caught the eye of the ministers and dignitaries, who showed keen interest in learning more about our students’ creative works. Teachers and Parents with children were visiting our stall till the end of the event very interestingly.

Adding to the pride of our school, our choir was invited to perform the Thamizh Thai Vazhthu at the start of the function and the National Anthem at its conclusion. Under the guidance of our dedicated music teachers, our students delivered a flawless performance accompanied by a live orchestra, earning widespread appreciation from the audience.

This memorable experience not only highlighted the creativity and talent of our students but also brought great honor to our school in the presence of esteemed guests.
