Students Council Investiture Ceremony

We are happy to announce that the Students Council Investiture ceremony for the year 2023 took place at our school on August 14th.

We always believe becoming leader is not mere adding title to the name. But shouldering the responsibilities to take charge of the school and take it to the height in the right path with their leadership, decision making skills, communication and teamwork.

The event was graced by esteemed guests, including Dr. N. Sayad Nawas, President of the Tirunelveli Tennis Association, Rotarian Paul Anna, Assistant Governor of Rotary District 1212, and Mr. Jothivel, District Secretary of Bharat Scout and Guides, Tirunelveli district. Their presence added an air of distinction to the occasion.

The ceremony marked the official induction of our new student council members, who have taken up the responsibility of leadership with enthusiasm and dedication. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our distinguished guests for joining us on this memorable day.

Serving a New Beginning: Inauguration of the Tennis Court on Independence Day

We proudly celebrated the 77th Independence Day with unwavering fervour and zeal at our school. The occasion was graced by esteemed dignitaries, namely Dr. J. Balasubramaniam, a renowned Nephrologist, Dr. N. Sayad Nawas, the esteemed President of the Tirunelveli Tennis Association, and Rotarian R. Muthiah Pillai, the distinguished Governor of Rotary District 3212.

The festivities began with the unfurling of the National Flag, symbolizing our deep-rooted patriotism and unity. The event resonated with the incredible performances put forth by our talented students, including mesmerizing aerobics displays, stunning human pyramids, the martial art of Silambam, and a captivating Tamil skit that left the audience spellbound.

The students who attended the school during the last academic year without taking a single day leave were awarded a certificate and prize for their 100% attendance .

A highlight of the day was the inauguration of the newly minted Tennis court on our campus. This momentous occasion was graced by the esteemed guests, who lent an air of prestige and significance to the event.

We express our heartfelt gratitude to our distinguished guests and parents for gracing us with their presence and encouraging us to continue striving for excellence.

Empowering Mobility

We are proud to share that our school recently organized a Free Orthopedic Assessment Medical Camp, collaborating with Dr.Sunder, Freedom Trust of Chennai in the month of June. During the camp, the requirements of the beneficiaries were assessed and noted down.

The camp culminated in a transformative event on July 29. Each of the 102 beneficiaries received customized solutions, including cycles, orthotic equipment, and prosthetics, tailored to their specific needs. This thoughtful distribution ensured that they could regain mobility and independence in their daily lives.

The collaborative efforts of our school’s Interact Club Students and staff played a crucial role in making this event a grand success. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Gomathi Ambal Charitable Trust and Hexaware Technologies for partnering with us in this noble endeavor.

Together, we have made a tangible difference in the lives of 102 beneficiaries, empowering them to embrace life with newfound hope and possibilities.

Music Workshop

An interactive workshop on Carnatic music, organized exclusively for school and college students was held on July 29, Saturday in our school. This event featured esteemed members of Music Forum, Chennai, including Mrs. Keerthana who presented songs for the explanation of Thevaram by Prof. Madhusudhanan Kalaichelvan accompanied by violinist Mr. VL Kumar and Mirdangam artist Mr.Swaminathan. The demonstration on the topic “How to Appreciate and Understand Our Great Music” focusing on “Thevaram Moovar and Their Hymns,” was very fascinating and informative.
There is no doubt that the session was an enlightening experience for all attendees from various music schools and colleges.

THIRU KAMARAJ BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

With the view to eliminate illiteracy, every year July 15, the birth anniversary of former Chief Minister K Kamarajar is observed as “Education Development Day” in the State. Our school organised a small function today in the morning assembly as a tribute to the Great Leader who brought into public the importance of Education. The Students of choir group sang the song that awakened everyone’s feeling towards Thiru Kamarajar. Few students also gave motivating and inspiring speech. The program ended with a vote of thanks.

Experiencing the live watch of Chandrayan 3

Watching a live space launch can inspire young minds and foster a sense of pride and curiosity about space exploration and scientific advancements. Our school physics department staff took the initiative to enable our students to watch the live telecast of the Chandrayan 3 launch providing an opportunity for the students to witness a significant moment in India’s space program.

Three Prizes in the Interschool Competition

Our school students have achieved success at the recent competitions conducted by Einstein Engineering College for school students. Our students secured second place in the Quiz competition and third place in the essay writing competition. They were awarded with cash prize and certificates. Congratulations dear students!

Drums Sivamani Inspires and Enthralls Students at Our School

Our school had the distinct honour of hosting the world-renowned percussionist, Drums Sivamani. His visit left an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of everyone present, as he captivated the students with his mesmerizing drumming skills. The event was a harmonious blend of music and talent, as our choir children showcased their melodious voices, accompanied by the rhythmic beats of Drums Sivamani. The visit proved to be an extraordinary experience that will be cherished by our school community for years to come.
The beats of his drums created an electrifying atmosphere that stirred the souls of all who listened .

Our principal Mrs.Usha Raman took the stage to express heartfelt gratitude to Drums Sivamani for gracing our school with his presence. The principal also highlighted the importance of such visits in nurturing the students’ passion for music and inspiring them to pursue their own artistic endeavors.
