Sri Jayendra’s cricket team has scripted a glorious chapter in its sports history by becoming the Runners-Up in the Junior Super Kings Tournament 2025, marking our first-ever entry into the finals. Competing against 108 schools from Tamil Nadu, Goa, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh, our team showcased unmatched determination, skill, and teamwork throughout the tournament.
The journey began with an electrifying victory against Madurai in the first phase. The momentum only grew as we defeated formidable teams from Goa and Andhra Pradesh to secure our spot in the semi-finals. Facing Coimbatore, the team displayed stellar cricketing prowess and advanced to the much-anticipated finals.
In the grand finale against the experienced St. Bede’s Chennai, our players fought valiantly but missed clinching the title. The finals may not have ended in our favor, but the tournament highlighted some extraordinary individual performances that captured the audience’s hearts:
Saravana Sangeeth Rajan (Class 12): Crowned as the Best Bowler of the Tournament for his impeccable deliveries and match-turning spells.
Gosic Vijay (Class 12): A batting sensation who scored back-to-back centuries, becoming the backbone of the team’s offense.
Mithun (Class 12): A record-breaker who stunned everyone by scoring 50 runs in just 14 balls, leaving the crowd in awe.
The CSK CEO, Mr. Kasi Viswanathan, graced the finals and presented the awards, acknowledging our team’s remarkable journey and inspiring performance.
This milestone achievement is not just a trophy—it’s a testament to the spirit, passion, and resilience of our players and our coach Mr. Rajasekhar .
The Sri Jayendra team has made history, and this is only the beginning of greater victories to come!
