As always the Priory Basketball competition on 2nd & 3rd July 2015 was a most enjoyable event. Teams from Jayendra, Kings, MDT, St Xavier’s, Bharat Montessori and Schafter schools took part entering Junior teams and teams which were a mix of Senior and Super Senior players. Jayendra reached the senior final when, after a very hard fought and impressively skilful match they lost to Kings in the last minute of the game. Kings also won the Junior trophy: a clean sweep for the second year running.
Jayendra took their revenge at the BMJ tournament in Madurai. Twenty eight schools took part in this three day competition (July 8th – 10th) for Senior and Super Senior teams. Jayendra won the Senior competition beating Kings 63/33 in the Final and were runners up in the Super Seniors losing to Carmel School in the final – but at least they had beaten the old foe Kings in the semis.
Battle will soon commence again at the Kings School Basketball competition. We hope we can maintain our winning streak; watch this space.
