Overall Best Performers In Puranava Once Again

Our school team with the able guidance and coaching given by our staff Mrs.Kalpana and Mrs. Subhashini has performed incredibly well for the past three years in Puranava, an Indian Heritage Quiz Competition initiated and organized by Global Organisation of Divinity (GOD).

This year the preliminary quiz rounds covering topics such as Mahabharata, Saints of India, Temples and festivals of South India and Thiruppavai  were conducted in August across 17 zones in 8 districts involving 256 students from 128 schools. The Finals took place on 8th September in Tuticorin under the benign blessings of His Holiness Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji.

Our run of success continued. Our team of two pupilss V. Sivamurugan and S. Sruthy of Class 8 emerged as the overall best performers in Puranava with a score of 95 ex 100. They outshone all the other teams at every level and reached the finals where they finished second. However, our team’s overall scores and outstanding performance thoughout the competition earned them the ‘Best All Round Performers’ trophy. Sivamurugan and Sruthy were each awarded a silver medal and a watch for their second position along with a runner-up trophy to the school.

They were also given a gold coin for their best performance in the overall quizzing event.

Their performance was excellent and they deserve our congratulations.
