Fancy dress competition was conducted in our school on 10th September 2022.

The theme for L.K.G is vegetable and fruits.

For U.K.G is Any New Idea.

This encouraged the children to express their point of view of the world around them. The children were also encouraged to introduce themselves and say a few sentences explaining why they chose to dress up as a fruit or vegetable or the new idea. The children were very active in participating.

NEC FLAIR YODHA Competition held in National Engineering College, Kovilpatti. More than 40 prestigious schools from Thoothukudi and Tirunelveli districts participated in the competitions. The categories are Origami, Stem, Bioscope, Feel The Rythm, Isai Arangam and Thinking Dhamaka.

In the keenly fought competition our school lifted the trophy for the over all performance.

On the occasion of the 75 years of Indian Independence , a cycle rally was organized by our school students to create awareness against drug abuse.

The splendid, vibrant dance performance by our school students for the 75 years of freedom celebrations. We were privileged to present the dance for the event conducted by the Tirunelveli Administration , presided by our honourable district collector Mr. Vishnu.

The Road Safety Awareness Exhibition was held at AR Line, Palayamkottai, organised by the Tamil Nadu Police department. Our school children took part in this event. They exhibited three projects. They also participated in the Road Safety Awareness Rally and competitions.

Congratulations Allen Selvanayagam and Gautham Praveen for together winning of Rs. 1.20 lakhs on the GovTechThon competition organised by District Administration, Tirunelveli at District Sceince Centre, Tirunelveli on 30-04-2022. We proudly say that they two did their nominations under the name of Sri Jayendra Alumni. We extend our hearty congratulations you two. During the prize distribution Respected District Collector Sir Shri V Vishnu I.A.S., interacted with these two winners and asked about “Sri Jayendra Alumni” and appreciated the on going Mentorship program conducted by our alumni for the present students. START UP TN is seeding 50 lakhs INR for all the winners to own and operate their start up using this idea!

Prof.Dr.Jayanthasri Balakrishnan visited our school on February 22/02/22 for a program emphasizing the empowerment of girls – ‘ யாதுமானவள் 2.0’ , organised by the Rotary Club of Virudhunagar. She was kind enough to address our school assembly in the morning and delivered a short speech there. Through her inspirational and thought-provoking speech, she insisted that in today’s increasingly interconnected and interdependent world, proficiency in other languages is as important as the need for proficiency in the mother tongue.

The main event of the day began after the arrival of the dignitaries from Rotary Club of Virudhunagar. Our Principal Mrs. Usha Raman’s introductory speech increased the curiosity of the students. The girls from the classes 9 to 12 were the audience. Prof.Dr. Jayanthasri Balakrishnan enthralled the audience for nearly two hours with her soulful, motivational speech followed by the interactive session with the students.

The National Science Day was celebrated in our school on 28 February, 2022. The entire event provided platform to the students to prove their talents, bring out their creativity and learn new things. Our school science teachers shared their knowledge on various branches of science to the students by performing demos, conducting quiz, connection games, drawing competitions, dumb charade and role play. Puzzles and riddles were solved by the students enthusiastically. Students participated in experimental demonstration of various scientific concepts as guided by their teachers.
